This is different from standalone desktop applications where, if the system shuts down suddenly, your changes may not be saved. Furthermore, this makes it easy for a team of professionals to coordinate on their management of different cases, since all of them will have immediate access to updated documents.

  • Can be accessed from multiple devices without lag: Imagine if you wanted to view a file that depended on a specific software application installed on your desktop. You now want to access the same content through another device. Technically, you would have to install the software application again on that device.
